Masterworks is delighted to present Pura Pura Whetu, an exhibition by Michelle Hinekura Kerr (Te Aitanga a Hauiti, Te Whānau a Āpanui, Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Raukawa). Michelle is a kairaranga (traditional Māori weaver), who will showcase her harakeke beads.
Accompanied with workshops by the artist, this exhibition narrates a story of two kete and how they stored the stars, sun and the moon. Those celestial beings were tears that solidified in the heavens. Join this special occasion to observe excellence in craft making, and to learn from and meet the artist.
